Here is one of the first writings that came in. Sally Andree (Sara Harder) replied to Jim Detelich, who had already started drumming up interest for our 50th reunion. Jim sent this out by email so you may remember it:

I’ve been out of the loop for most of the 50 – really? – years since graduation so here’s the cliff notes version of my life so far:
· After graduation from Slippery Rock U in ’69 I taught kindergarten for 3 years in North East PA. Had a wonderful time – my husband says the only reason I was the teacher is because I was the biggest kid in the class. That pretty much sums it up!
· I moved to Atlanta, GA to do a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Ed. Got accepted at Georgia State U and U of F in Gainesville, FL. Decided on Florida – why not - found a husband instead of a degree! We’ve been married 40 years – yeah us!
· Moved to Winter Haven, FL to study astrology – hey, it was the ‘70’s – and found out that metaphysical studies suited me/us more than a master’s in education degree for me and master’s in statistics for Robert. We also had a son while in Winter Haven, Jeremey, during that time.
· Robert got a job with the Census Bureau in Suitland, MD. We were there for several years.
· Moved to Sierra Vista, Arizona and that’s where we spent 18 years while our son grew up, graduated from high school, and got his bachelor’s degree. While Robert worked for the Army at a lot of different jobs I was home doing psychic readings – not even sure how that got started. Created a book – not published – for learning how to read Tarot cards that we use in teaching classes. Had a group that met at our house once a week called the Chicken Society. We studied a variety of alternative healing methods using massage, crystals, sound. We also practiced yoga, I taught them Tarot. We did not name ourselves the Chicken Society by the way. One of the members called one afternoon when I was not home and Jeremey answered the phone since I was not home. They asked if there was anything they needed to bring and he told them “just the usual chicken for sacrifice.” Great kid, has my sense of humor!
· Jeremey went to Montana for a Master’s Degree and Robert got a job offer from the Army Research Laboratory to do a master’s degree and work for the Lab at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical University in Greensboro, NC. Since the alternative was retire and die we decided to move. While Robert did his degree I was back and forth to Hermitage taking care of my parents. They both died during that 3 year period. Robert got his degree and the government moved us to Leavenworth, KS to work at the war college the Army has there.
· Leavenworth was a fun ride! It’s military with an international flavor. Officers from all over the world come to the war college to study and our neighborhood was like a UN. Our closest neighbors were the Australian families but the French, Swiss, and British also rented houses in our area. We got to know two of the Aussie families very well while we were there.
· When Robert was ready to retire I brought us back to Arizona. A good friend from Sierra Vista had moved to Prescott so that was some of the incentive. It’s dry, it’s sunny most of the time, we get snow but it never stays very long. There are mountains all around us.
· Our son is married, works in some burn before reading job with the government having to do with satellite intel. (Our son has become part of big brother which in the karmic wheel of life means he balances his parent’s out.) He lives with his wife and two daughters in O’Fallon, MO.
· Now we teach tarot and astrology, I still do readings for clients all over the country and a couple overseas as does Robert. Our non-threatening version of a psychic business is called Metaphysical Mumbo Jumbo.
· We have a personal trainer who come to the house twice a week to keep us in shape. (I fell in the kitchen a couple of years ago and had a tibia plateau fracture so am now bionic with a plate in the left leg.) Life is good. Hope the same holds true for all of you.
